Debbie is one of the most exciting and talented vocalists I had the pleasure of playing behind. Whether it’s staight ahead, Brazilian or contemporary, Debbie is so in the pocket. Her warmth and passion is really felt when you hear her sing a ballad. You can hear the influences of Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson and Ella Fitzgerald to name a few, but without a doubt, like any seasoned musician, Debbie Orta has her own unique style. You can also quickly figure out where all that warmth and sensitivity come from when you finally meet Debbie, she’s like that to everyone. You need to hear her!!
